Who am I and what do I do?

I am a sponsored ultra distance runner and I've been helping busy runners around the UK to go further, faster and get into the best shape of their lives since 2010. I'm here to help you over come the challenges of a busy lifestyle, to really make some progress in your running, gain confidence and sky high energy levels that will allow you to smash your PB's out of the water!
I have extensive hands on experience working with busy professionals and on-the-go parents, from running their first race to losing five stone or more and winning their age category. I have helped people through their first session in a gym and others through multiple marathons even into ultra marathon events. I regularly conduct seminars and speak in front of groups in national gyms, local events, nationally recognised running shops, running clubs and in the media on a range of topics from mindset to marathon training or nutrition. As a result my clients have the confidence and support that they need whilst they are guided down the path to a strong and healthy body that's ready for anything the life of a runner can throw at it! I regularly run coaching holidays and work with clients remotely. You can read more about the kind of breakthroughs my clients have on the Success Stories page
Why I do it?
My own personal journey to where I am now began with the decision to 'get a bit fitter'. Although I had done a bit of rock climbing, kick boxing and snowboarding I was far from what I would call fit and running was my weakness. In high school I couldn't make it around 800m without a walk. One day I went out for a run - although it only lasted about 4 minutes and felt like 'the hardest thing in the world' it got me started. I felt I had to keep doing it because I was so bad at it. Only later did I actually start to enjoy it. I traveled to New Zealand and decided to learn more about exercise and health and would constantly read and research. Two years later I made the decision to take my learning further and do some real qualifications and make a career out of helping people move forward with their fitness. I quickly learned it's not just about the physical training and I now place a large emphasis on a complete approach to peak performance and not just churning out the miles. .
My first running race was the Gobi Challenge (a marathon each day across a Mongolian desert carrying your equipment - in at the deep end?) I hiked and jogged through each day and made it to the end, totally knackered but thrilled! Since then I have completed over 100 ultras from flat and fast to incredibly mountainous with a 100 mile pb of 13 hours 58 mins, well over 50 race wins and numerous course records.
I want to do the same for you and thousands of other runners around the world, I want to give a gentle nudge to those who are just a bit nervous about taking the first step and help people to realise what's possible and get the most out of life.
