Trail Run Coaching Week, Spain 2019
Join myself, Charlie Sharpe for a week of trail running in 201 southern Spain, March 10th to 17th. I've combined my knowledge and experience from racing over 6000 miles during ultra events and 8 years of successfully coaching hundreds of clients to reach their training goals, into an intensive week where we will discover together what it takes to bring your performance to the next level. I've teamed up with local runners who live out in Spain and have also stayed in this location 6 times to make sure we have an amazing knowledge of the area and hit the best spots from gorges, lake sides and mountains. The basic outline for the week...
We'll be staying approx 1 hour from Malaga Airport, close to fantastic trails and stunning scenery.
You'll just need to get to the airport, on the scheduled day, we'll be there to meet you and bring you over to the house. Most meals are included too so aside from any souvenirs or odd snacks and drinks that you fancy you'll be taken care of. Full details are just being finalised and please let us know about any specific diet needs you have too. On one evening we'll eat out at a local restaurant and generally just split the cost (usually less than €20 each). Otherwise all meals will be prepared fresh by our wonderful team
Each day there will be a short discussion/ workshop on a different aspect of running, a mobility training session in the morning, different running sessions each day which can be adapted to your personal goals and with a different focus, hill training, descending, speed training, long runs and a couple of additional easy runs for those who want to. You'll have plenty to do but also some time to relax and enjoy your holiday of course!
You'll be running through some stunning scenery including gorges, lake trails, technical trails and some fantastic and varied terrain.
How fit do I need to be?
Ideally you should be comfortably able to run 10 miles in one go as a minimum and be running 3-4 times per week at least.By the time the week comes around slightly more. If you're not sure, please just ask, I'll personally be jumping on the phone with each applicant to check we're a good fit and to ensure this really is going to be a great week for you, There's no pressure to 'keep up with everyone else' nobody will be left behind in the hills! You'd be surprised what you can do when you don't have the pressures of every day life and can just focus on the running and training.

I personally use skyscanner.net to find the best flights.Iif you're booking in from the UK you can get a return flight for less than £100 from the main airports at this time of year (check out the best airport for you on Skyscanner I suggest) it's around 3 hours from England to Malaga.
