When I first met Charlie I was nearly 40 years old, overweight and with no fitness level whatsoever. Today I have lost 5 stone in weight and toned up beyond my wildest expectations. I’ve been training with Charlie for ten months now and lost 3 stone 2 pounds of body fat and increased the amount of muscle. I'm stronger and fitter than before and more happy with myself. I couldn't do a single Press up when I started and now I'm doing different types of Press ups and enjoying doing Kettlebell training too. I have even done a 10 mile Trail Race and completed in a 12 and 24 hour off road relay race! The strength work has complemented my training without leaving me too sore or tired to run well, I lost around 2kg and now feel stronger and fitter than ever. I Improved my 10k pb by almost 1 minute to 33:07 Now, I understand different activities and exercises and how they can assist me with my running to achieve what I need to! The main goal I'd set myself after meeting Charlie was to run Berlin marathon in September in 4.30hrs my previous best was 4.46hrs so it seemed a tough but realistic goal but still one I wasnt sure I'd achieve. Last weekend just two months after working with Charlie I not only achieved that goal 5 months early I managed it in 4.08. The buzz from actually impressing myself was sensational and had you said to me the week before try and run it in under 4.10 I would have said " i'll never be able to do that" My situation before I worked with Charlie, was that i was mentally motivated but lacked follow through. I know a lot about training but didn't put it into practice myself. I had no reservations about working with you. I had seen some of your ultra and marathon results and seen your impressive physique and knew you know your stuff. |
